Times are a Changin'

Just two years ago, Nathan and I discussed how we would never buy a minivan. They were large, they were ugly, and they were made for older women who took their kids to soccer. Basically, we felt too cool (and young) for a minivan.

Well, trying to fit three carseats in the backseat of a compact car will definitely make you rethink hating minivans. We need a large car, and I fully embrace looking like a future soccer mom. Furthermore, I actually think Honda Odysseys are beautiful.

Can you tell I've grown up?

I think the remnants of teenaged Celia just died. It's official. I'm an adult.

Bring on the minivan!

This is the one we have our sights set on. If you have any feedback regarding minivan preferences, please feel free to share your thoughts!

  1. Henry Clay Motors by the salt lake airport sells minivans that were used as company cars. They are a great price great condition. All include dvd players. My mom bought the doge caravan its their best seller, it has stow and go meaning all the seats store into the floor, or you can use it to double your trunk space. A must with a lot of kids.

  2. We have a Honda Odyssey and we LOVE it! We got it when we just had Ella (because I got a great discount for working for BYU full time) and I fell in love with having a van because of all the extra space!

  5. No stow in go. We have one with our 4 kids. Seats are sooo uncomfortable to enjoy a long car ride. The honda or sienna are the best.

  7. My sister just bought an Odyssey and loves it. Her husband did a bunch of research before deciding on it, too. I think it'd be a good choice! And I think it's great to have a minivan! I think it shows you're a great mom who cares about keeping your kids and yourself comfortable and safe, and you're more mature than people who think a cool car is important. You're a family of five - it just makes sense now. I'd totally get one!

  9. Go for Toyota Sienna! It is the minivan of dreams.....Also, the radiator is not made of plastic. (The Civic ones are--but I guess that doesn't mean all Honda ones are...) I've driven both my Siennas for millions of miles--and Christy is still driving my first one. Just a thought.

  10. I'm late in the game and I'm sure your mind is made up, but I seriously love driving my mom's Odyssey. It drives really nicely and the perks are nice. Good luck!
